You get 1 white, 1 blue, and 1yellow candle. Light them all in front of a mirror and say this chant:
Lighter thinner
that I say
Make me my right size
this very day
When you finish this chant, pour the wax from the candles into a small glass with a new wick in it. Repeat this day after day until your new candle is made. Burn your new candle until it or the wind puts the candle out. When you’re feeling overweight again light the candle and let it put itself out

The combination of Norse and Celtic names in Wicca-based Pagan holidays is really starting to weird me out. Ostara isn’t the same as Alban Eilir - they’re different holidays that happen to fall at the same time.
It’s like when people say “what are you doing for Yule?” and I’ll say something…
I will be doing this tomorrow, given I’ve tweaked it a bit to better fit my needs/liking. ;D
You don’t need fancy tools or long drawn out Baroque style poetry to do a ritual. The most important thing is you. If you’re mind is focused and you really mean what you’re saying, what you actually say should just be from the heart. “Its the thought that counts.”
And you don’t even need to be “Pagan” to do this. If you’re Catholic or Christian or even Atheist, you could do this in honor of the changing seasons. Just change the words around to anything you’d like. Make it fit you!
Tuesday, March 20th. The Spring Equinox The first day of Spring… Why not celebrate!? Treat it like a second New Year. Get started on that project you’ve always been meaning to do. Finally clean out that dusty closet of yours. Go volunteer helping animals or something. Do that one thing you’ve been putting off for so long that’s been bothering you in the back of your mind. Maybe start a little garden, or buy somebody flowers for the heck of it. Go through your old clothes that don’t fit or you just don’t like and donate them to the poor. Maybe have a garage sale!
Go out of your way to do something nice for someone else for a change. Surprise your mom with flowers, or cook your dad dinner or something.
Spring is a time of renewal, rebirth and new beginnings. Life is springing forth from the Earth after being dormant all winter long. New animals are being born, and the days will finally start to get longer.
Enjoy the sunshine and say hello to the sleepy Earth! :D
(Whenever I make posts like this, they always start as a link and maybe 2 sentences. Then I go off on a tangent and end up with an essay.) :3
I’m kinda nervous, but I’m really excited. I may or may not do it since my boyfriend is here, but I really want to. I’m looking at doing a money/job spell or maybe a weight loss spell, since I can easily get the things for the weight loss spell, where I need different kinds of ingredients for the money/job spell that I don’t have.
Woot! I’m doing a spell! (:
I will post my experience with the spell and how it goes, and I will let you know if it worked for me or not.
When I travel I always take my “traveling altar” with me. I don’t take my actual tools and such, I have a bunch of substitution’s.
I use an old wine glass as my chalice, a decorated butter knife as a anthem, a bunch of tea light candles, some runes, my three small Buddhas, twine, incense and a small holder, dried rose pearls and leaves, bay leaves, and a bag of lavender. I will also take my tarot cards, BOS, and my favorite book on Wicca.
I’ll set up the altar on top of the shoe box and I’m ready to go. My traveling altar :)
Bay is bound the Jupiter and Fire.

I officially, permanently, tied myself to the man I love and can now call husband late last month. It took us long enough. Both of us had those little spats of cold feet before finally taking the plunge into “the great institution” known as marriage. Upon marrying one of the first things I did was…

There has been considerable discussion within our community for many years about whether or not we should have a “Pagan clergy.” I think this is a very positive development because it gets us thinking positively about who we are as a spiritual community. We are confident enough, many of us, to be…
